2009 Midwest LM Workshop
Information, Events and Directions
*** NOTE Location Listed Below ***
The 2009 Midwest Large Munsterlander
Workshop has been scheduled for Saturday, August 8th, 2009 in Three Rivers, Michigan.
The one-day training session/clinic will be conducted by Hal Standish, a
professional gun dog trainer with extensive LM experience, for LMs and their owners/handlers
of all ages and experience. Although called a “workshop”, it’s
also just a fun day of getting together with other LM owners and watching these
fine dogs doing their thing in the field and generally having a good time, and possibly
picking up a training tip or two in the process. Last year’s
event was very successful with 11 dogs and their respective humans attending.
Hal will conduct a general training workshop as well as answer participants’
specific questions and address their particular training problems or goals.
All dogs will be able to work individually in the field on live birds with
their handlers and Hal. Guests are also welcomed and encouraged
to follow along in the field to watch, listen and ask questions when not running
their own dogs. Organizer Randy Hamilton can provide contact info for nearby dog-friendly
motels or campgrounds for those needing accommodations, and nearby dog boarding
is also available at the Justamuc Training Center. Refreshments and a light
lunch will be provided, all of which are included in the fee.
The workshop will be held on
